What is a 1:1 Kinesiology Balance

"It's all about you"

Kinesiology (pronounced kin-easy-ology) is all about understanding how the body moves and functions. Over time, different forms of kinesiology have evolved into gentle, natural, and non-invasive methods that complement other health practices. By combining muscle monitoring, keen observation, and principles from Chinese medicine with focused, intentional movement, kinesiology helps create meaningful and lasting changes in the body and mind.

For instance, the reason you get injured always on the same side of the body could be due to the fact that the muscles on one side of your body are neurologically better connected than the other side. This can be due to one-sided overuse, perhaps habitually carrying something on your shoulder, sitting for prolonged times in a slouched posture or having developed a head forward posture because of phone use. This leads to an imbalanced pull on your bones in the arm or the leg or even the spine.

Before injury you can observe these imbalances in your posture.

Our blueprint, the human blueprint, is designed in a way, that we always strive to be the best we can be.

However, we have a tendency to trip ourselves up and as a result find ourselves stuck at a place where we don’t want to be. We don’t know how we got there and we certainly don’t know how to get out of this rut.

Kinesiology can also play a transformative role in clearing mental and emotional blocks by addressing the intricate link between the mind and body. The way we move and hold ourselves physically has a profound impact on our mental and emotional well-being. Kinesiology works by identifying patterns of physical imbalance or tension that may be reflecting or amplifying internal stress, anxiety, or mental barriers. Through targeted techniques, it promotes better neurological connections between muscles (think movement) and the brain, helping to correct these imbalances and release physical tension.

This innovative process not only restores physical harmony but also encourages emotional clarity and mental resilience. By aligning the body, kinesiology creates a strong foundation for the mind to overcome obstacles and break free from limiting patterns, fostering a sense of wholistic balance and renewed focus.

“Balance is Key”

Alternative practitioners do not diagnose or treat a condition. Instead, the concept is to bring a person’s physical health, mental wellbeing and their emotions into harmony once more, a form of brain-mind-body symphony, where every part follows the same rhythm. This helps to strengthen our inborn  self-healing capabilities based on our immune system as well as the nervous system.

The premise is, that when we have less stress in our body and mind repairing, rewiring and healing can happen better and quicker.

Stress can be due to emotional upsets, or worry coming up to an exam, perhaps having to give a presentation or perhaps a driving test.

Stress in the body can also be food related, maybe a continuously upset stomach, or posture related, perhaps a head forward posture from technology or due to a sports injury.

I use muscle response testing from Kinesiology to detect physical strength and/or emotional imbalances, as well as the methods needed to rebalance the body.

muscle testing

Muscle testing enables a kinesiologist to identify your unique stressors in the body, whether emotional, mental, physical, nutritional or energetic and restore balance.
